Mr. Solano's journey with Hidalgo ISD is one of unwavering dedication, a story that began 21 years ago with a humble role as a custodian. This foundational experience instilled in him a profound respect for the dedication and tireless work that keeps our schools running smoothly.
Driven by a passion for learning and a heartfelt desire to make a difference, Mr. Solano transitioned into the classroom as an elementary teacher, where his genuine care touched countless young lives, shaping their futures with compassion and knowledge. His leadership potential soon became undeniable. Mr. Solano steadily rose through the ranks, serving as Assistant Principal at Hidalgo Early College High School before taking on the role of Principal at multiple campuses, including Hidalgo Academy, Hidalgo Park Elementary, and Ida Diaz Jr. High. In each role, he prioritized the well-being and growth of both students and educators alike.
Mr. Solano’s tenure as Principal of Hidalgo Park Elementary was marked by remarkable achievements, including earning the prestigious National Blue Ribbon and Texas Honor Roll Campus, and A-Rated Campus distinctions. These are a direct reflection of his exceptional commitment to educational excellence and his ability to create a supportive, inspiring atmosphere where students and staff thrive. More recently, Mr. Solano has served as Curriculum and Instruction Director, Bilingual Director, and Advanced Academics Director, allowing him to further shape educational policy and curriculum for Hidalgo ISD students.
